We eventually made it to
Germany. One of us took a sleeping aid and arived in Germany perky and fresh, while
the other decided against the use of the non-natural unhomiopathic non-prescribed
chemical (Dramimene) and did not sleep and was thus somewhat cranky and
unexcited. The latter was eventually returned to the airport.
(Dramimene wouldn't have made me sleep. I'm a side sleeper and plane bucket seats aren't the best resting grounds. I was really miserable! Next time I'll get prescribed drugs!)

The rape seed fields were in
full bloom giving the rolling hills a splash of bright color. In what would
otherwise be endless green.
visited some mission friends in Cologne and Katie visited a former
neighbor and friend in Stockholm. We both saw the sites in our respective
areas, (Katie the Stockholm Zoo - ? maybe there are animals in the Stockholm
Zoo that aren’t U.S. zoos, I've never seen a wolverine in real life nor a Lynx. or learned how to spin wool in any US zoo! or fed baby chickens to wolves! But nonetheless I didn't break the Mommy Mold as soon as I was on vacation. It's a sticky switch! and Locke toured the Lindt museum) we met back up
late the following night in Cologne.
Yes that is the most delicious chocolate fountain this side of the Rhein.
The Cologne Cathedral is a must see. At one point in time it was whitish, but due to lax pollution controls for many years it had taken on a sinister black façade.
These pictures don't do justice to the enormous size and majesty of the building, but if you look closely at the middle archway you can see how small the people are standing next to it.
