What you fishn' wit?

To kick off the first day of 'no more school' life. We went
fishing. Locke and Armanie had scoped out this hole last week
and destroyed the pond. I think they caught 7 fish in an hour. Which
considering no one else pulled a single fish from it was impressive.
Don't mind the algae and we did our best to clean off any moss as not to spread

So again the kids were reeling the fishes in.
The kids in the background came by and
asked Armanie her secrets....She said
we put some green stuff on our hooks.

Armanie making sure her brother can see the fish
(notice her hand on his head)
This was the fish Rocco reeled in.
Honestly they did reel them in. Each one of them were 95% independent in this fishing adventure

Rocco was a hard one to tame. We were sure he would be
covered in hooks and tackle by the time we were done.
But once he realized how this fishing went he patiently watched
the line for signs of a fish. And was all hands on when there was a bite.
He never let the pole out of his hand. Case in point.
We got pretty good at wrestling the pole out his hands in order to cast out.

We had to give him something to imitate the pole.
Luckily he was content with a stick as his real pole/line was
being placed for another fish to bite.

Armanie on the other hand....
I think she's been tainted. She caught so many last time she only watches her
line when that gig on her line 'dances'

The fish we kept. She thought it was cute and when
I told her the fish dies when it's not in the water, she
said, that's fine I'll eat it.'
I was very amazed. I thought for sure I would have to explain
all this a little more. But she got it.
She was very protective of her fish and is game to clean and cook it if we let her.
